One of the oldest and largest international events since 1851, the World Expo is held every 5 years and is expected to attract an influx of visitors to Japan's second-largest city and culinary capital.

The World Expo 2025 (Osaka Kansai Expo) will focus on developing and adopting best practices from around the world to drive co-creation in designing a sustainable society that supports social challenges, emerging sciences and evolving technologies.

Various Japanese organisations have begun collaborating to promote the historical event which will include special initiatives such as lectures by expo enthusiasts and guided tours focused on the concept of "Designing Future Society for Our Lives."

OMO7 Osaka, an urban tourism hotel by Hoshino Resorts, has been appointed a Partner Sponsor where it will evolve as a hub for welcoming both domestic and international visitors to the Expo and bolstering Osaka's tourism.

The hotel, which opened in 2022, received an environmental award earlier this year for its 7,600 square meter "Miya-green” garden area at the 42nd Osaka Cityscape Architecture Awards.

Its architecture, which integrates environmentally conscious technology, includes Japan's first membrane-covered exterior design, reducing the solar radiation load and mitigating the heat island effect.

Located in front of Shin-Imamiya Station in Osaka's Naniwa Ward, OMO7 Osaka offers a premium travel experience through it's Osaka-style hospitality, unique facilities and services, as well as convenient transportation and access to the city's famed attractions.

General Manager of OMO7 Osaka, Shota Kabuki says “The Osaka Kansai Expo is an excellent opportunity for Osaka, and Japan as a whole, to showcase its charm to the world.

“We hope that the Osaka Kansai Expo will serve as a catalyst for revitalizing the entire city of Osaka, leading to sustainable development. As a member of the community, OMO7 Osaka is dedicated to contributing to the success of the Expo and the future beyond it.”

Hoshino Resorts' OMO Brand, which now totals 17 facilities nationwide, is renowned for its “Go-KINJO” service. Hotel staff that has thoroughly explored the surrounding neighbourhood act as OMO Rangers to highlight unique and locally loved establishments on a map, and guide guests through specialised tours.

These tours enable guests to learn about Osaka's history and culture such as “a deep dive into Shinsekai,” a well-known downtown area of Osaka famous for its charming retro atmosphere and landmarks: Tsutenkaku Tower and Janjan Yokocho.

Foodies will love strolling through Osaka's Kizu Wholesale Market where they can learn about Kansai's "dashi culture" through observation and conversation with the local vendors.

The “Binge on Kushikatsu” tour is the ultimate way to savour one of Osaka's iconic gourmet dishes. OMO Rangers will teach the local etiquette of no double-dipping and support engaging conversations with the local shop owners.
